Buffalo Business First designed their Fast Track awards to salute the entrepreneurial spirit and to honor organizations that keep Western New York’s economy running. Buffalo Business First is a local business publication owned by American City Business Journals. They publish the area’s latest breaking business news in both an online and print edition.
To compile the 2020 list of Fast Track Companies, Buffalo Business First teamed up with sponsor Dopkins & Company, LLP Certified Public Accountants and Consultants. Dopkins & Co. verified the sales and employment figures and ranked companies based on percentage of growth in total sales over a three-year period.
To apply for this award, businesses needed to meet the following requirements:
- Be independent, privately held and for-profit
- Be in business and generating revenue of $1 million for at least three full years
- Be headquartered in the eight counties of Western New York
- Provide sales figures for fiscal 2019, 2018, 2017
